Former Oscar de La Renta designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia debut their fashion label Monse at the Norwood Club, in a private chic setting. Prabal Gurung, Ruth Wilson, Wes Gordon, Linda Fargo, Domenico De Sole and Cathy Horyn were some of the familiar faces in the audience.
The collection – inspired by boyfriend shirts – is strong, youthful, sexy and smart. A concept that only mature designers can safely develop. Artistic and modern approach set the tone for shirts in asymmetric cuts. Sleeves perfectly tied around the bust, back and waist brought a playfulness but a solid effect to the looks. Beautiful clothes delivered with flat shoes, a confirmation that true beauty is better presented simple.
